Local cooking with Sonya Gropman will focus on using local and seasonal products in recipes that are healthy, simple and most importantly: delicious! We will explore flavors and dishes from different cultures and cuisines. Sonya is an expert on Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) and serves as coordinator of Farm Spot, a Jackson Heights CSA, and is a member of the CSA Advisory Committee at Just Food. She is currently writing a cookbook and cultural memoir about German-Jewish cuisine and authors two food-related blogs.
